Medicare Bulk Billing (GPCCMP)
If you live with a chronic condition — such as diabetes, arthritis, or persistent ingrowns,
skin conditions or heel pain — your doctor may write you a General Practitioner Chronic
Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP), which used to be known as an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC)
plan. This entitles you to up to 5 allied-health visits per calendar year (January 1st –
December 31st) with a Medicare rebate applied to each visit.
You will then only need to pay $15 out of pocket to cover the gap. If you
need more than 5 visits in a year for podiatry, or you use some visits for another
allied-health service (e.g. physio, chiropractor, diabetes educator) as well as with us, you
will need to pay for the remaining services for the year.
What to Bring
- Your referral papers from your GP (unless we have confirmed these have already been emailed across)
- Your Medicare card
- Any relevant medical history or test results
How It Works
- We bulk-bill the Medicare rebate portion where possible
- A $15 gap fee is payable on the day, which is explained clearly before commencing treatment. This can be paid via cash, card or sometimes private health
- Your podiatrist will send written reports back to your GP after your first and final visits on your care plan
Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)
We proudly support Australian veterans and their families. The Foot and Ankle Specialists
accept both DVA Gold Card and DVA White Card holders, ensuring those who have served our
country receive the podiatry care they need without financial burden.
Gold Card
All clinically necessary podiatry care is fully covered with no out-of-pocket cost to you.
White Card
Covered for accepted service-related conditions. Check your entitlements with DVA and
your GP if unsure.
Referral Required
A current DVA referral (D904) from your GP is required every 12 months. Please bring this
on the day of your appointment (unless we have confirmed it has already been emailed to us).

Private Health Insurance
We have a HICAPS terminal on-site, which means your private health rebate is processed
instantly at the time of your visit — no paperwork, no waiting for reimbursements. You simply
pay the gap on the day, making the process as convenient as possible.
Instant Processing
Your rebate is claimed on the spot via HICAPS. No forms to lodge, no waiting for funds to
be returned to your account.
Pay the Gap Only
Your fund pays its portion directly; you only pay the remaining gap amount after the
rebate is applied.
Orthotics Item Codes
Custom orthotics may have a separate annual limit. We can provide the relevant item code
so you can check your entitlement with your insurer before committing.
Rebate amounts vary between funds and levels of cover. It is recommended you
check your extras cover for "Podiatry" benefits before your appointment so you know what to
expect.
